About Us
"The Potter's Bench" originated from Tennessee potter, Roger Bench. Roger's passion for pottery stemmed from the Summers he spent apprenticing with his Great Aunt. At the age of 34, Roger made a return visit to his Great Aunt where his devotion for ceramics sparked back up. He has been throwing clay ever since! From there, Roger attended several classes with a former professor. Bench has a multitude of awards, participates in craft shows, displays his pieces in select stores, and has been a member of the Foothills Craft Guild since 2013. Roger spent a majority of his life in Knoxville, TN. Roger, and his wife Lisa, currently resides within the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Townsend, TN,
